originally i was going to draw something based off of this, [link]
but after working on it a bit i thought i'd scrap and redraw it for later. so i just drew and colored this quick pen sketch just to get the idea out there already.
unlike the reference material though, this poster is to commemorate the Red Victory of the Russian civil war (instead of the end of WW2), and instead of thanking Joseph Stalin, it's Leon Trotsky due to the events of the alternate timeline.
here we have a Red Army soldier sporting an early model of machine-plate (basically an armor reinforced diving suit, with metal rigging inside for simple hydrolic tubes to achieve powered movement.) with a child hoisted on his right shoulder, and small red flag in his left hand.
